Companies
forge electricity Independent Power Tanzania Limited (IPTL) and Pan
Africa Power Solutions (T) Limited (PAP), are sadly we read information
off the far published by the weekly magazine of the mat of Information
particularly edition number 90 of February 1st 2016 with the headline, "14 months of scandal and IPTL treads Escrow -Sethi Tanesco 300 million every day"; coupled with seven extract zilizosomeka as follows: -
Is in charge of the 'Capacity Charges'
It was two more of the Richmond scandal
Activists surprised by the silence of the government
PCCB must be paid intervene
Minister Muhongo aombwa take concrete steps
Money paid to IPTL enough firing 'Live' broadcast of Parliament 36 years
Yaelezwa is the main reason for rising electricity costs
We would like to refute these reports. First
and foremost, these are mere fabrications aimed at corrupting IPTL and
its owners, including Executive Chairman, Mr Harbinder Singh Sethi. Secondly, these are aimed at kuwachonganisha trigger for Tanzania citizens and their government. Third,
these zimechongwa and kuchorongwa to kuwachonganisha citizens of
Tanzania against the investor, IPTL / PAP and its executive chairman, Mr
Harbinder Singh Sethi; since it intends to deceive IPTL absorbs Tanzanian land resources.
First
of all, we would like to kuutarifu Tanzanian public that the payment of
levies to investments ( "Capacity Charges") is contained in all the
agreements hammered and kuuziana Electrical (Power Purchase Agreement
-PPA) worldwide, between private companies hammered electrical energy ( Independent Power Producers) and relevant public agencies for the
supply of electrical energy, as in electric kuuziana agreement between
IPTL and TANESCO.
However,
it is not true that IPTL paid Tshs 300 million per day as "Capacity
Charges" as claimed by the newspaper News of the mat. IPTL paid by TANESCO to as "capacity charges" has not been
surpassed Tshs 150 million for the project appeared on the electric
washing IPTL When it was launched in 2002 to today.
We
are surprised to see a newspaper that claims to be professional
journalists writing reported zisizofanyiwa fabrication feasibility study
to understand the meaning of "Capacity Charges"; why the company paid "Capacity Charges"; How does the "Capacity Charges" inavyokokotolewa; and how much real paid for IPTL after eliminating various taxes and other costs involved.
The
magazine also describes mat News in a statement that it "Capacity
Charges" payable IPTL is the main reason for rising electricity costs. This is another phenomenon. Table
of costs "Capacity Charges" charged by different companies private
zinazofua and kuiuzia electric TANESCO (we quoted below), clearly
indicate that the cost of "Capacity Charges" paid to IPTL are low
compared to the cost of "Capacity Charges" paid by companies zinazofua and other personal electronic kuiuzia TANESCO.Table: Comparison of Purchasing and Selling Costs per unit (Kwh)Tariff for Epps and IPPs:Rental CompanyEnergy Charge / kWhCapacity Charge / kWhTotal Charge / kWhSelling Price (USD / kWh)Difference (USD / kWh)Aggreko.369.0577.4267.1197(0.307)Symbion.284.0565.3405.1197(0.2208)Symbion (natural gas).029.0499.0789.1197.0408IPTL0.13.0106.0106.1197(0.1139)Songas.0217.0431.0648.1197.0549
News
newspaper mat also has involved the payment of Capacity Charges and
expenses payable IPTL broadcast directly to parliament on television,
claiming that "sufficient funds paid to IPTL firing 'Live' broadcast of
Parliament 36 years". The cost of electric washing has nothing to do with the cost of firing 'Live' broadcast of Parliament. Because these payments are paid to IPTL charge generated by the agreement hammered between IPTL electricity and TANESCO. Enlisting
these costs of "Capacity Charges" paid to IPTL in accordance with the
agreement hammered electricity and the cost of firing 'Live' broadcast
of Parliament is not only a provocation of citizens against their
government but also a provocation of citizens against IPTL / PAP and its executive chairman Lord Harbinder Singh Sethi, which
is a breach of the constitution and relevant laws of the country.
The
author of the article concerned would be asked IPTL either TANESCO
course he could get the right information and the definition of adequate
rather haphazard and write things mythical and inflammatory. We would like to use this opportunity to call upon the writers and
all the media focus on the professionalism of their professions in
writing the appropriate information to various factors, including
written statements IPTL, PAP and the Lord Harbinder Singh Sethi.
In summary, information on relevant articles zilichochapishwa is vicious slander and untrue. Tungewaomba and all Tanzanians who have read or will read relevant articles wazipuuzie such information. We
also asked the editors and publishers of the newspaper News of the mat
to apologize for mythical statements within fourteen (14). Failure to do so, legal action will be taken, including fixing it with its editorial the newspaper to court.
We also various entities involved in peacekeeping and stability of our
country, including the army and police to take action against the
author of the article and the editors of the newspaper News of the mat
to break the laws of the country to write the story of stimuli.Thank you very much.Joseph O. R. Makandege (Advocate)(Secretary and General Counsel of the Law)ACTING EXECUTIVE CHAIRMANIndependent Power Tanzania Limited / Pan African Power Solutions (T) Limited.
